XO Modern Pho & Grill – Authentic Vietnamese Pho and Crepes in Rockville, MD

Came in for lunch this afternoon. The service was great and there were plenty of food options. The portion sizes were also huge. I ordered P8 and my cousin ordered P4. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food and we will definitely come back.

Always welcoming and friendly service. Depending on your server sometimes they won’t check up on you until you’re finished eating. Luckily the younger lady at the crepe station came over & was attentive. It’s a quick and simple spot.

I recently visited XO Modern Pho & Grill in Rockville, MD, on a chilly winter day, and it was exactly what I needed to warm up and satisfy my cravings. I started with their Vietnamese Coffee, which was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced—an absolute must-try for coffee lovers. Then came the Takoyaki—8 golden, crispy bites that were tender and flavorful on the inside. The star of the meal was their Pho XO Big Horn. This bowl was packed with everything: eye-round, brisket, flank, fatty flank, tendon, and tripe, along with all the classic pho fixings like sprouts, jalapeños, basil, onions, cilantro, and lime. It was hearty, comforting, and absolutely hit the spot. If you’re in the Rockville area and looking for some incredible pho and delicious Vietnamese dishes, XO Modern Pho & Grill is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

What an awesome hidden gem! The food was reasonably priced, and the portion sizes were good. If you go, be sure to try the tonkotsu rice! It's a fried porkchop. It was so fresh and krispy. Also, Mon-Thurs, if you buy an entree, you can get a milk tea for only $2! It's a great deal. The waitresses were super kind, they let us take the milk tea home in a to-go cup because we didn't know about the offer until the end. Usually, it's for dine in only! The crepe was also tasty. It was made in front of us and the fruit was fresh too! We got the Banana Nutella crepe. We'll definitely be back.

The bowls were pretty darn good. The price was reasonable. The broth was excellent. Expect to pay $12-17 for a bowl. The place is split between pho and crepes, I believe. It wasn't that busy either.

The early opening hours were perfect with less crowd. Was spoilt fpr choice but eventually settled for some tasty and flavour-filled Pho. The wait staff though was very attentive and quick. Took less than 5 mins from order to meal service. Ingredients were still fresh. Certainly a very comendable Vietnamese place. The atmosphere was very nice, well aerated, well lit with daylight. Apologies I cannot comment on the breakfast, coffee or bobba teas.

Nov2023 party of 2: Had this place last year and changed our lives with a genius idea of encompassing dessert and food at the same place. Had it again recently and the Pho is spectacular 5/5 broth is great and the noodle/ meat ratio portions are great with reasonable prices. They have veggie options which is nice as well just in case you don’t want meat. They give you lots of lime which is a must for me and Sriracha and this magical brown sauce on table for you to add as much as you wish. Appetizers were okay not too out of the ordinary the peanut sauce was pretty good though.
